TAL-J-8 from the popular developer of vintage synthesizer emulations TAL Software. The instrument emulates the sound of the classic Roland Jupiter-8. The virtual synthesizer focuses on recreating the sound of the original instrument, rather than additional features, the developer notes.

As with other developments, Patrick Kunz from TAL Software has exactly reproduced the operation of the original tool. As Kunz points out, aside from MPE support, the new TAL-J-8 doesn't have a lot of advanced features compared to the Arturia Jup-8 and Roland Zenology Pro. The main focus of development was on accurately recreating the characteristic sound of the original synthesizer.

In addition to emulating the operation of oscillators and other sections of the Roland Jupiter-8, the new instrument is equipped with a Unison mode for oscillators and a sound calibration section. The latter allows you to adjust the height, resonance and amount of distortion of the generated sound signal.

Despite the release of the new product, TAL Software has not yet published videos demonstrating the capabilities. No audio files or additional presets were found on the developers’ website either. One way or another, a quick test of the demo version of the tool allows us to conclude that there is one more plugin on the list of must-have tools for synthwave fans.

The TAL-J-8 is a very accurate emulation of the popular 80's hardware synthesiser and calibrated after our own Jupiter 8 device. All sounds are generated in realtime without the use of any samples with the same endless modulation possibilities like the hardware and useful additional features like the calibration section that can make the filter scream.

2. Run TAL_RSA1024_KeyGen.exe, select the product (TAL-J-8), click "Generate" and paste the received data (in full!) into the plugin
